Barqode privacy

Updated September 24, 2026. This policy covers the Barqode browser editor, the older Windows desktop app and this website. It does not cover the forthcoming Barq mobile app.

Browser editor

The browser editor reads the CSV files and templates you choose on your device. Product data stays in the current browser session and is not sent to a Barqode account or database. Downloading a template saves a file to a location you choose. Printing sends the label to the printer you select through your browser and operating system. The browser editor does not require sign-in or payment.

Older Windows app: files and printing

The older Windows app processes the CSV files, label designs and text you choose on your computer. Files can contain personal information if you include it. Barqode does not operate a cloud account or upload your product lists or designs to us. Saved designs go to locations you choose; printer calibration profiles are stored in your Windows user application-data folder.

When you print from the older app, the label content is sent to your selected printer through Windows and its printer driver. A network printer or a folder synced by another service can transfer data according to your choices and that service's settings.

Analytics and third parties

The desktop app does not include advertising, an app analytics service, or developer-operated telemetry. Windows, Microsoft Store, and printer software may process information under their own policies. Microsoft handles Store account and purchase information for purchases made through Microsoft Store.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Loading it involves normal connection information, such as your IP address and browser request details, used by the hosting provider to deliver and protect the site. The site does not add advertising trackers or a custom analytics script. Installer files are delivered from this website through Cloudflare. No email or checkout is required. Support messages go to [email protected].

Free edition and updates

Barqode 0.1.9 has no trial expiry or purchase activation. Older activation records may remain on your computer, but the free edition does not use them. Update checks contact this website; installer downloads use this website. Print reports are saved locally and contain page dimensions and print settings, not product contents.

Update checks

Starting with version 0.1.4, Barqode checks the version file hosted on this website once at startup. Cloudflare receives normal connection information such as your IP address. No license key, product list, label design, or unique device identifier is sent. You can turn off automatic checks in the Updates menu and check manually instead. Downloading and installing an update requires your action.

Control and support

You control your input files and saved designs and can delete them from their saved locations. Printer profiles are stored in the Windows application-data location for Barqode. Uninstalling the app may leave files you saved outside its application-data folders.

The Broken G product page

The product page stores your English/Arabic language preference in your browser. Signup and sign-in links open the separate public Broken G customer service. This Barqode page does not collect account details or store records. The original private store is separate and is not linked here.
